Windows 10: CD Rom CD/DVD Writer Cdfs.sys File disabled

cdfs.sys file always stops working.I am dual booting with Win 10 and 11 19044 22000. Latest updates.The Machine came with preinstalled Win 10 1909. Hp Notebook. The manufacturer only guarantees that the CD will work with that version and they are aware of the constant bugs with drivers etc. with every upgrade and have been providing solutions for Win 10 1603 through to 1909. When you update drivers for Intel HP you will notice a version of windows attached as the migration process between versions never goes smoothly. they no longer do this it's a Microsoft problem now.The CD drive works fine

Cd Rom / Dvd Writer

Hi,

I have both Samsung CD ROM & LG DVD Writer(Both are internal). Since some days CD ROM is getting opened and trying to get closed all by its own.

I removed the power cord of CD ROM & again connected. This time it is not showing both the drives. It is showing only 1 drive and if i right click on that drive and select eject, both the drives are getting opened.

Is it anything related to virus? Do i need to install OS once again.

Pls Suggest

 

DVD Writer downgraded to a CD-Rom Drive

I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Home. I recently did a clean install of windows 10. When I restarted windows my DVD Burner was downgraded to a CD-ROM. I can read CD ROMs, but I cannot burn a DVD or read a DVD. The DVD burner I have in my Alienware
X51 R2 has a plug and play DVD writer model GS40N. I get no error codes or yellow exclamation marks in device manager. Device manager says that the DVD writer is working properly. The device driver that it installs is from Microsoft driver date: 6/21/2006,
driver version: 10.0.10586.0. I would like to know how to get a Windows 10 driver for my DVD writer work correctly.

Windows 10 doesn't recognise PC CD/DVD Rom as well as external CD/DVD writer

Yes they do.I tried to delete them,and then restarted PC.After that "Transcend -writer" is OK,but CD/DVD Rom is still not recognised.
