Windows 10: cd rom don't function

You believe that I will open something so that I can read the dvd of my pc, in which I see the icon I see the drives but it does not work although I have changed the cd to another one and I have eliminated the cd dvd ron in the system. Open someone who really knows what happens if one changes from windows 7 to 10 if this is normal or would have to go back. Please someone who knows if better speak Spanish

My CD ROM can´t read any CDs or DVDs

I wanted to use my CD ROM after a long time, and then after many attempts with other CDs/DVDs, all I can say is that my CD ROM won´t read anything.

I tried solutions online, like using regedit and search for UpperFilters and LowerFilters, but I don´t have them, but it still won´t read anything. I have Windows 7 Home Premium, can anyone help me?

This might have occurred due to corrupted\outdated DVD\CD-ROM driver.

Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.

Step 1: Try updating the DVD\CD-ROM drives from device manager.

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand DVD\CD-ROM drives.
• 
  Right click on the driver select
  Update Driver Software.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to check and install if there is any latest firmware update for DVD drive from the computer manufacturer.

CD/DVD Rom not functioning

1. What happens when you try to use DVD/CD-ROM?



Follow the steps given below:

Uninstall and install the DVD/CD-ROM drivers.



a) Press Windows + X and select
Device Manager from the list.

b) Locate the DVD/CD-ROM drivers and expand it.

c) Right click on the Bluetooth driver and select Uninstall.

d) Follow the onscreen instructions to uninstall the driver.

e) Restart the computer. The driver will get reinstalled again after the computer restarts. You may also install the latest version of drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.
