Windows 10: CDC ECM driver

I am trying to install Verifone drive for P200. The driver installs successfully on com 9. However, I cannot see the com. Instead, I see in other devices, and it has a yellow warning tringle. when I open it, it shows there is no CDC ECM driver code error 28. Where can I get that driver installed on windows 10? How can I fix the issue?

Hi Mohammad Alabdalla,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You can try this by clicking the Drivers TAB on the CDC ECM properties page and selecting Update Drivers.

In the Update Driver window, click "Manually Select Driver Source" and see if the page shows a window arranged by manufacturer and device name. See if you can manually specify the Verifone P200.

I considered that there might not be a specific driver download for this type of POS. It would be a good idea to contact Verifone's technical support. I found a link to them:

LTE USB stick detected as CDC ECM on startup

My LTE USB stick does not automatically connect to the internet on startup. I see the following issue in the device manager with a device called CDC ECM:







If I re-plug my device it connects to the internet and the CDC ECM device disappears but I would like for it to connect automatically without me having to re-plug it every time I reboot my computer.



Is there a workaround for this issue?
