Windows 10: Certain programs lose connection to the internet

For over a year now I have had an issue where certain programs, such as Edge, Google Chrome and Discord, will randomly lose connection to the internet, but the computer itself remains connected. There aren't any issues with other devices connected to the same router, and the icon in the bottom right shows that I am still connected. I am connected to my router via ethernet, so it isn't an issue with Wi-Fi. I've tried reinstalling programs, flushing DNS, and even have moved my location at one point and yet the problem has persisted. I have found nothing online of anyone else having this issue, a

I suggest you to update the Network adapters driver from the Device Manager.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on Start button and click on

3. Right click on the driver and click on
Update driver Software.
