With this in mind, Lenovo streamlined two accessories into one and designed the latest generation Yoga Mouse with Laser Presenter. At CES, Lenovo also introduces the latest generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga laptops with a focus on making incremental – but noticeable – refinements in virtually every area to offer broader improvements for the discerning end-user.

7th generation X1 Carbon

The 7th generation X1 Carbon will be available with a visible carbon fiber weave top cover. Lenovo named its flagship notebook X1 Carbon to call attention to the product’s material. If you need to travel, the battery ensures you can continue to be productive for up to 15 hours. And when you need access to large amounts of remote data, LTE-A Wireless WAN will power through the biggest of files, now available with CAT 16 LTE, offering gigabit speeds where supported.

The 2019 ThinkPad X1 Yoga is an all-new, full precision-machined aluminum design in a beautiful iron grey chassis. Aluminum is just as strong as carbon fiber, but requires extra thickness, which usually makes it heavier. Lenovo’s engineering team overcame design challenges to create a thinner, lighter and smaller design than the previous generation ThinkPad X1 Yoga.

The 4th-generation multi-mode laptop is thinner (15.2 mm) and lighter (1.3 kg) with a 17 percent footprint reduction, thanks to narrower bezels, and is wrapped in a precision-machined aluminum chassis. The X1 Yoga now supports all docking solutions, including ThinkPad Mechanical Dock.

Lenovo have also introduced a new ultra-wide ThinkVision P44w display. If you are a multi-display user, you will recognize the challenges and pitfalls of bezels and managing several displays and associated cables. The new ThinkVision P44w eliminates those frustrations. The 43.4-inch display offers an ultra-wide 32:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 3840×1200, giving a screen real-estate equivalent to two 24-inch 16:10 displays. Dual integrated USB-C ports allow two video inputs that can simultaneously transfer data, video and audio signals as well as provide up to 90W charging power.

Fingerprint Scanner Lenovo Yoga X1 Yoga (3rd Gen)

Hello all! As the title suggests, I have a Lenovo Yoga X1 Yoga (3rd Gen) and I've been having issues with the fingerprint scanner lately. First, the biometric drivers were hidden in my device manager tab. I activated the reveal hidden view and got error
code 45 on the biometric drivers. I thus uninstalled my biometric drivers and reinstalled the correct drivers from Lenovo. However, the biometric devices tab is not showing them in my Device Manager now and the Synaptics app claims there isn't a scanner connected.
What can I do to get a working fingerprint scanner again?

Lenovo Reveals the Yoga 730 and Yoga 530 2-in-1 Laptops with Alexa Support

At MWC this year, Lenovo announced two new additions to their Yoga line of laptops. The Yoga 730 comes in 13-inch and 15-inch models while the Yoga 530 is only available in the 14-inch flavor. They feature up to Intel's latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with the Yoga 730 having the option of coming with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics card. Apart from conventional input methods, consumers can also interact with the Yoga 730 through voice since it comes with built-in Alexa support. The integrated far-field microphone allows Alexa and Cortana to listen and respond to the user with relative ease.

The Yoga 730 is equipped with a UHD IPS touchscreen display while the Yoga 530 is fitted with a FHD IPS touchscreen. Lenovo is also offering the optional Active Pen 2 with up to 4096 levels of sensitivity for those users who love to write, draw, or jot down notes on their laptops.
