Windows 10: .cfg files, application recognition thereof

I use the AMAZINGballs application JoytoKey.It is a great application for interpreting XInput signals from , in my case xbox pad, and encapsulating it as a delicious keyboard, mouse, or other special input type, 100% increase realtive, and much much more, that can be then used to:crush online gaming opponents;or not;theoretically issue type commands;be thankful.However I recently decided to grab the settings from the folder on PC alpha, and wanted to transfer them to Bravo.They don't appear in the software's menu. In the past this has worked, in that I copied the .cfg files from a onedrive

Control Flow Guard (CFG) not enabled in C# application.

I used Process Explorer to check if CFG is enabled in my C# application. CFG was disabled. I found only a Microsoft document on how to enable CFG in Visual Studio 2015. But that was only for C/C++ projects.

I read that CFG is enabled by default in Windows 10 but it is not enabled in my application. I found another way to enable CFG for my application by enabling strict CFG in the Windows Security Center. But I encountered the following error:

"The specified image file was blocked from loading because it does not enable a feature required by the process: Control Flow Guard"



Is there any other way to enable CFG manually?

 

Disassociate file .cfg

Ok so i was working on a cfg file for a game and i needed to edit it for one reason or another and to do so i opened it with notepad and forgot to click the button to not make this default opener so now the game wont launch with any languages so i need
to disassociate the file .cfg i am on 64 bit windows 10
