Windows 10: change admin password to access daughters laptop

Hello, I set up this laptop a year ago. I obviously set up a password but soon switched to a pin for login. A while after a set up two more used laptops for my kids and set them up with their own login under my administrator control. When I log onto one of the kids laptops as Admin it asks for my Pin, which works OK. But when I try to login into the other kids laptop it asks for the password instead of the pin. I can't remember the admin password, only the Pin. I can't seem to work out how to reset the admin password so that I can access my daughters laptop to make certain changes. If

Ok, now this is weird: XP repair will not accept my new password! WTF?

 

Daughter cannot access pc as has forgotten password

the password on my daughters outlook account has somehow changed. She assures me she hasn't changed it so unsure what has happened. Now she cannot access her laptop (Windows 10). I have tried the Microsoft reset but her phone does not receive a code or call
and every time we complete the online form we are advised there is insufficient information.

Microsoft have been useless and we keep being advised to try the same methods above regardless of who we contact and whether it is by phone, chat or email.

There must be a way to reset her password that is easy????

I have admin rights on her pc but even then there does not seem to be a way to alter her password.

Any suggestions??
