Windows 10: Change app for file explorer preview pane

Hello,is there a way of changing the app used to render the file preview in file explorer without changing the default app for that type of files?The problem is the known "file is already opened...." error when using Adobe Acrobat Pro but i cannot find any solution besides NOT using the preview pane or using diferent app than adobe's acrobat ad default so when you doubleclick the file.Also seen a solution by allowing full control to everyone which is impossible in our environnement.

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

Preview pane not functional / causing system issues

We can see here that you're having an issue with using the preview pane for File Explorer. Since using the preview pane affects the CPU usage when trying to view Office files, we could suggest that you changed your File Explorer View setting into the Navigation
pane by performing the following steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Click on the View tab.
• Select Preview pane to remove it from being highlighted.

Once done, try to open files using Office apps and check if this helps your Surface Pro 4 works fine.

Video in the preview pane

Thank you so much for your reply.

What I really need to know is how get the video to play in the preview pane. Prior to Windows 10, this worked wonderfully and was an asset. Now, it requires making changes to the Windows registry - not recommended due to the enormous amount of issues with
Windows 10.

Any other suggestions?
