Windows 10: Change Auto play settings for BitLocker encrypted drives.

1. I'd encrypted my (ex. 4 Drives) with BitLocker.


2. Computer Restarted


3. Accidentally changed the "Defaults for what to do when unlocking a Bitlocker encrypted Drive" to "Open with File Explorer" (basically, can't remember the dialogs).


4. Now, after unlocking each drive, a NEW File Explorer window pops up after EACH Drive's password is entered.


5. I don't want to automatically unlock drives on boot, I just DON'T WANT File Explorer to pop open a new File Explorer window after EACH Bitlocker encrypted drive has the Password entered.


How do I fix this?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.

We understand your concern. We recommend you to follow the steps mentioned below to change AutoPlay settings and check.

1. Open AutoPlay settings by searching for it in the search bar.
   
2. Under Choose AutoPlay defaults.
   
3. Choose the option apart from Open folders to view files (File Explorer) in the drop down menu under the respective drives.
