Windows 10: Change computer description remotely

Hi!

Is there a way to change a PC description running windows 10 remotely ? We have a domain environment with multiple workstations and we would like to change their description without the need of physically accessing the PC. Is there maybe a way using CMD, Powershell or something similar ?

The description of your issue is rather vague also. What do you mean by "I used remote desktop with my work computer name to create the session"? Do you mean you used remote desktop to connect to
your work computer? If so, I'm not sure how VPN fits into all this. If you've already VPN'd into your work network, then why do you need remote desktop at all?

 

Microsoft Remote Desktop Assistant

The link you provided points to the app that is installed on the CLIENT - not the Remote Desktop Assistant. The description of the Assistant is as follows:

"On the Windows PC you want to connect to remotely, download the Microsoft Remote Desktop assistant to configure your PC for remote access."

 

Three short commands in PowerShell, can be run one by one manually or put in a script:
