Change Ctrl+Z behavior in Windows 10 to undo character but not action

Is there a way to change how Ctrl + Z works in Windows 10? I would prefer if it undo just one character per time instead of taking the whole paragraph away. I understand that some applications did override that shortcut and handle it internally but I believe that in most applications that functionality is controlled outside of the application.I am specifically interested in changing this behavior in Visual Studio so if you don't know how to change it in Windows 10 but know how to change it in Visual Studio please let me know.

    :)

  2. 2020 and ctrl-z problem deleting folders continues

Ctrl+Z will undo the previous action, e.g.

    • When you insert a text into a Word document then Ctrl+Z will undo the insertion.
    • When you create a formula in a spreadsheet then Ctrl+Z will remove the formula.

It seems you expect Ctrl+Z to ask the user whether he really wants to undo the most recent action. This would constitute a major change of philosophy.

  4. Change Ctrl+Z behavior in Windows 10 to undo character but not action

Windows 10 Ctrl+Z / undo not working for move actions

    Hi,

ctrl+z as well as clicking on the "undo" button in the quick access toolbar in an explorer windows work for everything, except when I move files.

It just undoes the action I did before moving, or does nothing if there was no previous action.

For example if I rename a folder, then move a file into this folder and then click undo, it will revert the name of the folder but the moved file stays in the folder.

Does anybody know this problem and how to resolve it?

    Thank you
