If you travel, there may be times you would like to change how the date and time formats are displayed in Windows based on your current location and/or language (user locale).

This tutorial will show you how to customize the locale and change date and time formats displayed for your account in Windows 10.

    CONTENTS:
    • Option One: To Change Date and Time Formats in Settings
    • Option Two: To Change Date and Time Formats in Control Panel

OPTION ONE [/i] To Change Date and Time Formats in Settings
1 Open Settings, and click/tap on the Time & Language icon.

2 Click/tap on Region on the left side, and click/tap on the Change date formats link under "Regional format data" on the right side. (see screenshot below)

4 When finished, you can close Settings if you like.

OPTION TWO [/i] To Change Date and Time Formats in Control Panel
1 Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Region icon.

2 Select the language (user locale) you want to use for displaying the date and time format. (see screenshot below)

While it is recommended to leave this set to Match Windows display language, it can be handy to select another date and time format for a language without changing your display language.

    Changing Time Format

    Hi Mary,

There's a possibility that the set up time format in your computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is military time. To have this checked, you can try to reset the time of your computer through Control Panel. See the steps below on how to do
    so:

    • Open Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region >
Change date, time, or number formats. This would open the
      Region
      window.
    • From there, click on Additional settings at the bottom part. It will open the Customize Format.
    • Click Reset; then, OK.

The steps should work; however, if not, we suggest that you contact manufacturer and have the BIOS time checked.

Let us know what happens after doing the suggestions .
