    Change date of birth for accounts under the legal minimum age does not work


    Hi all,according to the german help page Ändern eines Geburtsdatums für ein Microsoft-Konto Change a date of birth for a Microsoft account, there should be a button "Manage my child's profile information" on the overview page "Your family". However, this is not displayed : I am logged in with my adult account and can also see my family, but I can't find this button on either my child's page. Does anyone have a solution? Is there another way to change date of birth for accounts under the legal minimum age?Has the structure of the page been changed and the help page is no longer correct? Greet

    • When you say ‘Age/date of birth question on setup’, are you talking about the age/date of birth information requested while setting up a Microsoft account?

    If you’re talking about the date of birth associated with your Microsoft account, you may try the steps listed in the article
    How to change a birthdate on a Microsoft account, to change the same.

    To change the date of birth on your Microsoft Account, you can follow the steps below:

    • Sign in to
      Your info       on the Microsoft account website.
    • Click Edit your personal info.
    • Select the correct date of birth, and then select Save.

    If the birth date on a Microsoft account says that it belongs to a child, there are different steps to take in regions that regulate what children can do online. You can check this

    How do i change the DOB (date of birth/birthdate) for a child account through the parent account? How do you do Option 3?

    If the birth date on a Microsoft account says that it belongs to a child, there are different steps to take in regions such as the United States of America and the Republic of Korea, and other regions that regulate what children can do online. Here is what
    to do when you are a parent trying to change your child's birth date:

    • Using the parent's Microsoft account, sign in to your
      Family       page on the Microsoft account website.
    • Select Manage my child's profile info.
    • For the child’s account that you want to change, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.
