Windows 10: Change Default Document Folder Location to local Drive from OneDrive Windows 11

Hi, I wish to change document folder's default location from OneDrive to local drive. It is currently configured as follows:I have unlinked OneDrive from everywhere else on my laptop. However, all my other attempts to change the default path for the Document folder to my local drive have come unstuck. Now the only option left for me is to modify the document path in the registry as I do not have access to access to gpedit.msc due to my Windows 11 version being a home edition.Please suggest if this step would solve my issue.

Documents/Pictures folders under 'This PC' refer to onedrive - not the local folders

My documents are already being saved to 'This PC only'.

The Documents folder in the libraries is correct (local drive).

The Documents folder in the quick access area is correct (local drive).

The only thing that is incorrect is the documents folder under 'This PC'?

Also is 'winhelponline.com' affiliated with Microsoft?

To assist you better, please provide few details.

1) Are you able to view the contents of the local document folder in your system, not in OneDrive folder?

2) Are you trying to copy the contents from OneDrive folder to local system Document folder?



If the content from your local system Document folder is moved to OneDrive Document folder, then I suggest you to open the Document folder under OneDrive, copy the content and save it in Document folder in the system.



You can also restore the default location of the Document folder, if the location is changed.

To restore the default folder location, follow the below steps.

1) Right click on the Document folder.

2) Select the Properties option.

3) Click on the Location tab.

4) Click on Restore Default button.

Can't restore Documents folder to default location

AFTER deleting the OneDrive app (Office 2013) and making a copy of the contents to another drive I noticed that my documents are now actually saving in: ===>c:\users\admin\documents\onedrive\documents. Again, this is after I had deleted the OneDrive program and making a copy of the contents of My documents in the OneDrive cloud. I tried to move the documents and also restore to the default location at: ===> c:\users\admin\documents ... but when I try to do that, I get an error: "The folder can't be move here Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected. Access is denied." So how do I restore the Documents folder to each default location? I'd appreciate suggestions or a link to a solution. Thanks. EDIT: Never mind.
