    Change default location for Microsoft Print to PDF output file


    Hello everyone,Microsoft Print to PDF creates a PDF file as output.When saving, it EITHER:a defaults to the Documents folder where the output PDF file will appear, ORb remebers the last location where an output PDF file was saved and defaults to that.I would like to change this so that Print to PDF always saves the output PDF file on my desktop.Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance :-

    Where do I change default location for Microsoft Print to PDF


    Right now, if you select Microsoft Print to PDF under Print, it sends the file to the Documents folder in OneDrive.

    Where do I change the location so it saves it to the Documents folder on the PC?

    Hi Ron

    The Microsoft Print to PDF functionality should be available in any application in Windows that can print

    From Serif Draw, choose File - Print

    From the list of printers, change the printer to Microsoft Print to PDF, then provide a File Name and location and that will produce a PDF file for you

    Do you have difficulty with the above process in Serif Draw?

    microsoft print to pdf files will not open after saving

    We suggest that you save the PDF files on your device and check if the issue persists. You may also want to associate the PDF files to Microsoft Edge as the default program to make sure that you have a default application that will open all of your PDF files.
    Here are the steps:

    • Search for Default Programs.
    • Go to Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
    • Select the .pdf file type and then click the Change program button on the upper right of the
      Set Associations window.
    • Choose Microsoft Edge and then click OK.
