Windows 10: Change digital license ownership on new device

So, i bought a new laptop abroad, that my dad would bring to me after his vacations. Long story short, he needed to use it and despite warning him, he loged in with his microsoft account instead of mine. So now the laptop appears in his account devices and the licence was activated with that account.I would like to change it to mine, to keep the ownership of the license, but im not sure how to do so. We can delete it from his device list, but im not sure if after that i can log in with my account and get the license or if i will be asked to buy one. Im afraid that being this a digital license,

Transfer PURCHASED Digital Licenses to New Device

A year or so ago I bootcamped two of my Macs and purchased digital licenses for them. Before unbootcamping them, I released the licenses. Looking at the "my devices" I still see the two formally bootcamped Macs listed. I'd like to use those licenses on VM
devices. How do I do that? Again, I paid for the licenses - they weren't upgrades - they weren't OEM. They're not in use and I paid retail for them.

Digital License after transfer license to new computer

Uninstalling a product key does not deactivate the license, there is actually no deactivation method. You would still need to contact support to actually invalidate the license on the old machine, so it can reactivate on the new machine.

Transferring the license is a step by step process.

First, you either remove the license from the machine by formatting it.

Install it on the new machine.

Contact chat support, then reactivate.

Where Digital license is handy is when you are still using the machine and reinstall Windows 10 and need to reactivate the license after a significant hardware change, such as a hard disk.

Finding my digital license and using it for a new device.

Dear Microsoft Community,

My HDD broke with its licensed Windows 10. Originally this OS was Windows 7 but I updated it to Windows 10 a few years back. Obviously, the product key was lost in time and my digital license was on that hard drive. On my device list when I log in at account.microsoft.com
this old PC with a destroyed HDD is still listed and using Windows 10. However, now I'm stuck on an unlicensed version of Windows 7 ( a PC I've built from scratch ) and would like to get my digital license or product key back, so I can work on a legal system
like I've been doing for 25 years using the official product.

I tried contacting the support but all they have is that pretty dumb AI. Can't even send an email.

What would you suggest?

I still have the old bill from when I bought the old system with the original, pre-installed Windows 7 in 2011.
