Windows 10: Change licence tied to your Microsoft account

Hi everyone,I would like to know if it is possible to change the licence key that is tied to my Microsoft account. I bought a windows 11 pro key somewhat 6 months ago but due to issues I had to reset my laptop.After reinstalling windows 11 it tells me I suddenly have windows 11 home with a message “windows was activated with a digital license tied to your Microsoft account” Is there a way to change this licence into the windows 11 pro key I have since I don’t want to keep entering this key whenever I reinstall happens quite often due to other issues.Kind regards, Xander

Undo/Un-sync Administrator Account tied to a Microsoft Account

Hi,

It seems that there are changes made on your administrator account after logging in to the Microsoft Store as one of your children. For us to resolve the issue, we suggest that you switch the administrator account to local account and switch it to your own
Microsoft account. To change account types on your computer, follow these steps:

• In Cortana search, type control panel.
• Choose Control Panel from the list.
• Under User Accounts, click Change account type.
• Select your user account and then click Change the account type.

How to verify that my Windows 10 licence is associated with my Hotmail/Microsoft account

Do those steps:

• Use the keyboard shortcut Windows-I to open the Settings application.
  
• Select Update & Security.
  
• Select Activation
  

Here you see the current status. If the account has no licence you can click on Add an account, enter your account data and the account gets the license added.

Is Digital activation tied to a microsoft account as well as hardware?

It's optional. If you only ever signed in with a local account then it will just say 'activated with a digital licence' and it will just be tied to your hardware, but you can link the digital licence to your Microsoft account.
