    Change the Resolution setting on the moniter

    Hello, to change your screen resolution, please follow these steps:

    1) Open Start, select Settings then select System and then select Display. Alternatively, you can right click the background on your desktop, and select Display Settings.

    2) Under Scale and layout, check the setting under Change the size of text, apps, and other items. We suggest you use the percentage marked "(Recommended)."

    3) If that doesn't solve your problem, under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked "(Recommended)."

    Change resolution without seeing

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below. Check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key on the keyboard
    • Click on settings
    • Go to Display
    • Click on Advance display settings
    • Change the resolution (1280x1024 recommended)


    Try to boot into Safe Mode with Networking or Enable low-resolution video.

    To enter into low-resolution mode
    in Windows 10 in change the settings in it, follow the steps given below.

    • Restart your PC.
    • Press Shift + F8 before the Windows logo appears.
    • Click See Advanced Repair Options.
    • Click Troubleshoot.
    • Click Advanced Options.
    • Click Windows Startup Settings.
    • Click Restart.

    Change scale or change resolution?

    Game continues to change resolution

    Thank you so much! This managed to fix it. I did have to go into properties, then to the compatibility tab, but I found that a setting was active that forced it to launch in 640x480 mode. I re-launched it, and it no longer changes the entire resolution.
