Windows 10: change size of fixed size windows in Win PE?

Is it possible to resize windows that are fixed size, in Windows PE?

I am trying to use recovery media from a backup program to restore my laptop. The backup program creates the recovery media using the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit. That process worked fine, but when I booted up the laptop using the recovery media, I could not get past a welcome screen.

So as a test, I booted up my desktop system using that same media. On the desktop system, with a bigger screen, the welcome screen showed Next and Finish buttons at the very bottom of the window. So do all the other windows that appear after clicking Next several times.

However, on the laptop which needs to be restored, those buttons are not visible. My conclusion is that the Welcome screen is simply too tall to be displayed completely on the laptop's smaller screen. And it is not possible to drag that Welcome screen up so as to display those buttons.

Is there any way that I can patch the parameters of those fixed size windows to make them smaller? I know nothing about how Windows actually sets up windows. Text editor? Hex editor?

I've done a support case with the backup software vendor, but I'm kind of urgent here and I would like to get the laptop restored today if possible. I would rather not wait until the vendor responds.

Screen size does not fix.

Since the new upgrades the screen size is too big for my 7 YR old Toshiba Laptop, which I use constantly. I Can not access the x or the scroll bar. The character's are Hugh, stretched and distorted. I have followed every single step listed in troubleshooting
and even paid two computer techs to fix it. NOTHING WORKS! There used to be a simple one step adjustment: Settings: Display: Screen Size. Neither, Resetting, troubleshooting app, driver updates, changing to another resolution (which btw is suggested as a
fix but non existant) nothing works. I am at wits end. The last guy I paid to fix it suggested I just buy anew unit? I can't afford that. Please please address this issue asap. Thank you

• Click on "Windows logo" and select "Settings".
• Select "System".
• You can change the font size here.

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar.
