Windows 10: Change the Desktop Icons Default Font on Windows 11

I wish to change the fonts of the desktop icons on my Windows 11 23H2 OS Build 22631.4460 machine to Times New Roman.I have done this in the past on both Windows 10 and windows 11 by amending the registry as in the instructions below, but this no longer works. I have tried on more that one machine and have even rebuilt the machine with a fresh Windows install. This has worked in the past but no longer works. Change the font of my desktop icons

Windows 10 make it easier for you to personalize your computer by going to the Settings app. Some options from Control Panel has been moved to the Settings app just to bring all the settings under one roof.

To change your desktop font, you may follow these steps:

• Go to Settings.
  
• Choose Personalization.
  
• Select Themes.
  
• Under Themes, select Theme settings.
  
• On the left pane, click Change desktop icons.

To change the font size of the icons on your desktop, refer to these steps:

• Right-click on your desktop.
  
• Click View.
  
• Select the font size you prefer for your desktop icon.
