    Absolutely unabl;e to remove the single lines that run across a number of pages on a long documment.

    Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

    I have found an article that may help you. Inside of it is this suggestion:

    "Sounds to me like the lines are part of the paragraph style of the text you're cutting and pasting. Open the Styles list. With your cursor in the text, open the Styles list and scroll until you see the highlighted style. Right-click on the style. Choose Modify.
    From the Format menu, choose Border. Click the "None" option under "Setting:" and click OK. Hopefully, that will do it. "

    If that does not work then there are a couple more suggestions in the thread that may work.

    Microsoft Word 2010 Default Style Change

    Click the Home tab.

    Right-click Normal in the Styles Quick gallery and choose Modify.

    Choose Paragraph from the Format list.

    In the Spacing section, change the At setting from 1.15 to 1.

    Click OK.

    The default is to change just the current document. If you want this change saved at the template level-meaning, all new documents will reflect this change-click the New Documents Based On This Template option at the bottom of the dialog box.

    Click OK.
