Windows 10: Change the username in one account in Windows mail

My email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. For this emailadress I have two accounts – gmail and gmail2.On my windows mail I have both accounts. The problem is that on Gmail2 my name shows as Johan Fahlman. It´s the wrong name and I want to change it. How do I do it?When I log in to Windows I can´t find anything about my two accounts.Help, pleaseJohan

Are you logged in with the Microsoft account or a local account?

You can follow the steps below to change the username and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X key.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Under view, select large icons.
• Go to User Account.
• Click on Manage another account.
• Select the User Account for which you want to select the password.
• Click on Change the username.
• Click on Change Name button.

I've just reinstalled Win10 and created a second account for my wife. Unfortunately, the login names is the mail she's registered to Microsoft.

How can I change the name.

I've read an answer to same question suggesting following:

I don't have that option in Win10.

guys, how can this be so difficult?

What I need to do: My mail account that I would like to access using Windows Mail app requires me to login with an account name (USERNAME) that is DIFFERENT from my EMAIL. However the field "username" is GRAYED OUT (and shows my email-address), and even
under the advanced options there is no way to change this, because, why would anyone EVER want to?

To make this very clear, I am NOT trying to change the name under which I send the mail, that I can do.

What I need to change is the user name that the mail app uses to authenticate with the mail server, as that is different from the mail address.

I already anticipate that I need to edit the registry or perform some 35-step mega-task to solve this highly unusual use-case.
