Windows 10: Change to Linux: I don't get the e-mail with the password to unlock my laptop after...

My lenovo laptop asked me to enter my bitlockerkey. I did so, but now if I want to unlock my laptop it sais that the password has to be changed because of the bitlickerkey. Then it sais that an e-mail will be sent to my microsoft e-mailaccount to get a password to unlock my laptop. But microsoft doesn't send me a password to enter. I already tried to send an e-mail on the same account and I received it. So my e-mail is working but I do not receive the e-mail to unlock my laptop. I can't unlock my laptop bow for 3 days and really have to work with it. Maybe just have to change the whole system

How do I delete an e-mail account and add it again in Windows 10 Mail

I'm using Windows 10 Mail and a box appear saying that my e-mail account and setting are outdated! I never knew and e-mail account can be outdated etc when you're always using it etc. I have ahd this e-mail for so many years now. Another box appeared with
my e-mail on it and a box to type in my password to verify my account. I typed in my password but it couldnt verify it. So, the next suggested the box had was for me delete my e-mail acount and add it back again. How do I go about doing this? Please list rhe
step by steps please. Thanks!

 

changing bitlocker password, Windows 10

Hello Keith,

We suggest to change it from Control Panel. You may follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
• Click Unlock drive.
• Type your present password and click Unlock.
• The drive will be unlocked and you will notice more links on the right of that particular unlocked drive, click
  Change password.
• Now, you may type your Old password, New password and Confirm new password.
• Click Change password.

Account e-mail major problem.


Hi, I am asking on behalf of an elderly gent, first of all a bit of history.

He had a desktop running windows XP for years, however it started playing up and he decided to buy a new one. The guy in the shop (PC world) set it up for him and he took it home.

The problem is he set it up with the administrator account being associated with a really old e-mail ( I can only assume he got the details from the old chap himself) and for which he doesn't know the password. He took it back to PC world and they simply placed a pin number on the login with the old e-mail and he now uses that to unlock his PC. Still not too much of an issue until he tries to change something which required administrator permission and for which the password is required.

I went to see if I could help and when I tried to change the e-mail to his more recent one the old e-mail isn't even listed. The computer is saying that the e-mail associated is the new one?????

Tried restarting to check the login and its the old e-mail. Don't know what's going on and PC world don't seem to know how to sort this either.

Since the computer is new I thought I'd try a factory restore but it asks which account needs to be restored and asks for the password again. I'm really stuck here and I cant fathom what to do.
