Windows 10: Change username error

I was attempting to change my username and something has gone wrong. I tried a fix but made things worse.The machine has 2 users, User1 me & User2now I have changed my username but and can login but there are 7 user folders Public and User2 are unchanged but there are 5 user1 directories.DirName Contents1, Old username Empty folder2, New username AppData corrupt3, New username.Hostname My original files4, TEMP My Original files5,TEMP.Hostname My

Are you logged in with the Microsoft account or a local account?

You can follow the steps below to change the username and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X key.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Under view, select large icons.
• Go to User Account.
• Click on Manage another account.
• Select the User Account for which you want to select the password.
• Click on Change the username.
• Click on Change Name button.
