  1. "Change where new content is stored" vs. Manually specifying folders

I've seen a similar question here before, but nothing explaining the difference/reason to prefer one method over the other.

I am setting up a fresh install on an SSD with 2 partitions, one for OS one for data.

Traditionally I have moved most user folders by replicating the structure on the data drive, then using PROPERTIES > LOCATION > MOVE to select the folders in the data drive.

Is there a benefit/difference between doing this and using the built in "Change where new content is saved" settings under STORAGE > MORE STORAGE SETTINGS?

  4. "Change where new content is stored" vs. Manually specifying folders

Moved a folder from another drive and rename and it still shows as the old folder name in certain places

    Hi Nick,

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior.

    • Create a new folder name it as 'My Videos'.
    • Now copy/cut and paste the contents which are in the folder "Videos", and delete the folder "Videos".
    • Now check the behavior.
Please keep us updated with the status of the folder, to assist you further.

    Regards,
