Discus and support Change windows account password to RDP/smb password to something that is not the my windows... in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; It looks like the password I need to use login to RDP is the same password I use to log into microsoft.com.     Change windows account password to RDP/smb password to something that is not the my windows...


    It looks like the password I need to use login to RDP is the same password I use to log into microsoft.com. I suspect this is because my windows 10 account is paired with my microsoft account.I would like to have a simpler password for logging into my windows computer over RDP. Is it possible to change my windows 10 account password independtantly of my micrsoft account?

    If it's just a local account password there is a guide you can Google using the Windows install media to blank the password.

    Windows Startup password

    Is it possible to remove a startup password without being able to log into the system? A friend's laptop just prompt her today for a password that she never enabled. Now, she does have a standard user account password, but that doesn't work for the startup password. She had the computer for about a year now and it has never asked for a startup password until today.

    I tried to use Hiren Boot CD to run a diagnostic on the laptop, but it has a bsod. Windows 10 normal boot crashes as well
