Windows 10: Changed Downloads folder to the entire D drive, tried changing back to default but...

Basically tried to change my downloads folder from my c drive to d drive, but accidentally made my whole d drive the downloads folder. Tried many different methods found online ie changing registry, restore to default, and still did not work. When I tried to restore to default, "D:\" to "C:\Users\XXX\Downloads", I did not move all the files as it would have an error and I would not be able to move the downloads folder. So, I clicked "no" to moving the files, thinking my new downloads would be downloaded to the c drive. However, when I downloaded something new, it would just go back to my d d

Changed Videos folder and can't reset it to default or change it

I accidentally changed my videos folder to D:\ drive instead of a videos folder inside D:\ drive. Windows won't let me change the videos folder back to its default one under users and my user file due to a denied error, "Failed to build the list of regular subdirectories
under "D:\System Volume Information". Access Denied". Windows also won't let me change the folder to a newly created one under D:\ called "videos", when I try this an error message comes up saying "Can't redirect a parent into a Child. The specific path is
invalid."

Please help me change the folder so it is not my D drive.

 

Messed Up Changing the Location of the Downloads Folder in Windows 10

Hi - this is my first post. I'd appreciate some help correcting an error I made in moving the system folders on my new laptop. I'm running Windows 10 Pro, version 1909. I created a Data partition (D on the SSD. I want to move the system folders (Downloads, Documents, Music, etc.) to this partition as I had done on my old laptop. Unfortunately, I messed up moving the Downloads folder to the D drive. I forgot to first create a Downloads folder on the D drive and just entered the path D:/ . So it appears that the entire partition was set-up for Downloads. I attempted to reverse my steps by restoring the Downloads folder to it's original location, C:\Users\andre. I then created a Downloads folder in D: and went through the steps to change the location of the Downloads folder again. However, when I attempted to move the Documents folder over to the D drive, I get an error message "Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected." I'm stuck and would appreciate some help. Thanks
