Windows 10: Changed Hardware now Windows 10 Pro licence blocked by old "Profile"

Hello,


I just reinstalled Windows 10 Pro N using my licence key after changing some hardware components, including the HD.


Now I found out that my licence was blocked by the old hardware, because my Microsoft account now mentioned 2 pc's.


I then removed the old name of the pc, but I'm still not able to activate windows.


What do I need to do?


The Acrtiovation Troubleshooter gives me the following error code:


0x803FA067


And the virtual agent sends me here.

Activating Windows 10 Pro After a Hardware Upgrade!

I followed all the steps to linking my Windows 10 Pro to my Microsoft account so that I could upgrade my hardware, reinstall Windows 10 Pro, and activate it, but it's not working. I'm signed into my Microsoft account. I tried the activation troubleshooter,
selecing that I recently changed hardware, etc. Nothing is working. I can see my old computer under my Microsoft account, as well as my new one (with better hardware). I changed the motherboard, ram, and CPU. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

 

Reactivate Windows after reinstall - no hardware change

I broke my Windows installation.

I initially had 10 Home, installed from an official installation USB. At some point, I purchased a Pro licence from the store.

Now after I broke my installation, I reinstalled using the same USB stick, which allows me to chose between Home and Pro. I chose Pro, knowing I had the licence.

When it wouldn't activate, I removed the old device from my Microsoft account, thinking it would free up my licence, so I can use it in the new installation.

I didn't think of clicking on "I recently changed hardware..." link after troubleshooting, before deleting the device, because I didn't actually change my hardware.

Now there is no way I can think of to reactivate.

Troubleshooting suggests I buy a licence.

Clicking on "changed hardware", I am only presented with other devices.

Is there any way I can recover my license? (I refuse to buy a new one)

Update: Before reinstalling, I was able to do a full Copy+Paste of all the files in the old old partition. So if there is a file or something I can recover from the old files, I can probably do that.

 

Activation troubles after hardware chnage

Here's what happened:

• Linked my Windows 10 Pro Licence to my Microsoft account.
• Switched out to a new motherboard, new install linked to my Microsoft account.
• Activation has failed, (Error Code: 0xC004C003) when I try to troubleshoot:
  • Press I recently changed hardware on this device
  • Select the old computer in my Microsoft account
  • Says unable to reactivate windows - try again later - and links to here:

  • I've been through it nothing is relevant or helps
• Have been trying for 3 days now - still not activated.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions on what I can do?
