    Changed my G:\ to download folder, how do I reverse that?


    So once many moons ago, I accidentally turned my G:\ into my download folder by accident - sth that I would really like to fix now.In the two changes I found online, they had to either change {374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B} OR {7D83EE9B-2244-4E70-B1F5-5393042AF1E4} to %USERPROFILE%\Downloads. However, In my case, both these folders are set to G:\ so I don't know what to do now. Also, should I move the data from the download folder to another place before attempting this? I am merely asking bc I don't have an external hard drive, so it's kind of more work.I would love to add a scre

    Downloads folder is the Documents folder

    Hi Chris,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

    Step 1:

    Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Download folder.
    • Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
    • In Properties go to Location tab.
    • In location Tab Click on Restore Default.


    Step 2:

    Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Documents folder.
    • Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
    • In Properties go to Location tab.
    • In location Tab Click on Restore Default.
    After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

    Changed the 'downloads' location to E-Drive. Couldn't reverse!!

    I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps and check if that helps:

    • Right Click on Downloads folder.
    • Click on Properties.
    • Select Location tab.
    • Click on Move and choose your location.

    Changed my G:\ to download folder, how do I reverse that?

    Changed the 'downloads' location to E-Drive. Couldn't reverse!!

    But the problem is whenever I click the properties of Downloads
    folder, it is showing the properties dialog box of E-drive partition. How could I solve this?
