Windows 10: Changes in Laptop after re-installation of digitally signed windows on a new drive.

My Laptop had only 1 TB HDD and 4 GB RAM. So I installed a SSD and a 8GB RAM. I also created a recovery drive and re-installed windows 10digitally lisenced on the SSD. While I was inspecting about my laptop after installation , I found out that my Device name was changed. Previously It was DESKTOP-M0...... but now it was DESKTOP-G3...... . So is it normal?

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Rest assured, that is perfectly normal, Windows installations will always rename the PC/Laptop to a new name, on a Dell its DESKTOP- and a Misc. string, that is just an auto generated PC name and will have no affect on your PC or windows, you can if you wish change the name.

Click your Start Button, then just type advanced system and open Advanced System Settings from the resulting list

On the resulting utility, on the Computer Name tab, click Change and you can enter your preferred name for your laptop.
