Change my child's age

I am having the same problem. The directions on your site do NOT work. When I select "Manage my child's profile info," according to your directions, I should then select "Edit this child's personal info." Unfortunately there is nothing that says "Edit this
child's personal info." There are absolutely no options to edit anything about my child when I do this. instead I get a message that says "In the United States, South Korea and the EU, legislation requires that children have adult consent before.... etc."
My son is incorrectly listed as 24 years old, and he is 14. I don't know how this happened, but I need to change it, and I am unable to do so. Please help. Thanks.

 

Change age of "child" back to adult

My email account (which has existed for literally decades) recently spontaneously changed to have its age (birth date) be that of a 4-year old (i.e., child), and as a result I am now locked out of my ability to do certain things due to the family/parental controls. I would like to remove the account from any "Family" services and change the age back to my actual (adult) age, so that I can use the account normally again.

At the suggestion of various MS help folks that I communicated with, I have tried adding a new dummy account to the same "family", but doing so did not expose any options for changing the age of the supposed "child" account. I have also tried various links to profile editing pages provided by support staff, in hopes of changing my age directly, but on such pages the age was unfortunately locked, i.e., not an editable field.

I corresponded at length with Microsoft Support via chat, and they directed me to post a question here, with the promise that a moderator would get back to me with the appropriate course of action. Hopefully you can help me!

If it makes a difference I am in Canada.

Changing a child's age

my youngest child accidentally set up our eldest childs account and entered their age incorrectly. When i log into our family account as me (adult) i can see my child's account. When i select "manage profile" for our child it takes me to a site that tells
me about privacy changes in the US and South Korea (we are in Australia...). There is no option to change anything. It does give me an option to change restrictions which simply takes me back to the overview screen on me and my children.... loops. Any ideas?
