    As the title says, after I enabled secure boot it invalidated my license saying there were hardware changesLicense type: digital no product keyDevice: Asus rog strix g16 2023System > Activation > Troubleshoot > I changed my harware recently doesn't helpIt either says the servers are unavailable, or lists my old laptop for reactivation this laptop was never linked to the current microsoft accountAutomatic help doesn't work, it tells me that my product key cannot be used to activate Windows, even though I have no product keyReconnecting my microsoft account by creating new windows

    Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

    I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.

    So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

    Secure Boot Enabled in BIOS, but not seen by Windows 11

    1) the dual boot comes later. windows is able to set it while you install the second Os: but i can't install w11 on the new disk. because it fails: secure boot is not active, even if i turned it on, UEFI ONLY, in the bios of the asus x570 crosshair viii

    2) what you suggest is not possible, because installation of w11 is aborted for reason at point 1. unless you say i could make it installing win 10? then aborting installation (at least it change from MBR to CPT?)

    btw what you suggest i already tried from command prompt, launched as Administrator from win 10, but it gives the error: specified disk is not convertible....

    first problem here is : why win 11 sees no secure boot active while it's turned on in the bios? and UEFI only? why?
