Windows 10: changing default settings

Discus and support changing default settings in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; I have office 2013 and use outlook for my email.     I have office 2013 and use outlook for my email. When I delete a message it goes into my trash folder and not my deleted folder. Plus the trash folder keeps only a few days of deleted emai9ls. How can I change outlook to send deleted items to the deleted folder and also keep them until I want to delete them. My sent folder also just keeps a few days of sent item. I want to keep items in all my folders until I delete them. How can I do this? Thanks much....
