Windows 10: Changing Email account linked to Microsoft Edge

Hi, I loaned my laptop to a friend and, while she had it, she somehow managed to establish her email address as the email address displayed in Microsoft Edge. So every time I open Microsoft Edge my friend's name is identified in the top right hand corner as being the linked account. How can I delete this account from my laptop's Microsoft Edge and replace it with my own?

These options are not listed for going into the settings of Microsoft Edge. My apologies for the confusion. They are listed for going into the settings of windows. Edge picks up the email address of the Microsoft account that is linked in the Windows settings

thanks for your suggestion but this isn't working for me. I have opened the Microsoft Edge web browser, gone into Settings/General and the only Account that is listed is my friend's account (which I'm trying to delete and replace). There is no option listed
for 'sign in with local account'.

I also went into the laptop Settings/Accounts/Email & Accounts. While I have successfully listed my own account under 'Accounts used by email, calendar and contacts', my friend's email is still listed under 'Accounts used by other apps'. While I have managed
to list my own account here as well, when I click on my friend's account there is a 'Manage' button but when I click on mine, there is both 'Manage' and 'Remove'.

I hope this helps explaining the problem.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
