Windows 10: Changing folder ACL within Windows Installer

I am using Windows installer to install a workstation application in Program Files. It is installed for all users on the computer, some of which may not have administrative privileges. While the application's input and output data are stored in each user's Documents folder, there is an occasional need to store files in a subfolder of the installation folder. Since the application is within the Program Files folder, the default user privileges in all application folders prohibit the user writing to the folder. I need to change the ACL rights for that folder, but am uncertain how to do it within the Installer. Can anyone give me some help on this. Thanks in advance.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

Windows 7 - change user temp folder.

i would like to change user temp folder, becausze i can't install Nero. How to do that? I know how to change Windows temp folder, but not user.
