Windows 10: Changing hardware -> Old account email no longer exists.

So technically this isn't an issue I personally am having, my fiance just recently got a new motherboard and processor after finally getting tired of using AM3, and fortunately enough everything works. Except Windows. She no longer has the key since she bought a physical copy of windows several years ago, and it's been lost in the 5 or 6 moves across the states since then, don't ask, lots of family drama. Currently she has a new microsoft account which is fine and dandy, but the old account, one that was with AOL, no longer exists, yet the account is still stuck on the computer. We've tried to

account email created that does not exist

I created an account email as administrator years ago when I bought my computer. This e address no longer exists. I have 2 alias and use one as my primary account. However, when I go into accounts, it still lists me as administrator with the old email.
I am unable to delete it. Tried many times. Each day I get a message telling me to update my email account and it says password my be cause. I have no idea what that password was and how could I change it when I get error message with email does not exist.

 

Can't delete "emails and apps" account that no longer exists

I have an email account through a university I no longer attend that is included in my list of accounts. I receive constant notifications saying that I need to "update the password" for this account, but I can't because the account no longer exists. I also
can't delete the account from Windows because when I click "Manage" it sends me to a login page for the nonexistent email. Is there a way to get around this and remove the account from my computer?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.
