Windows 10: Changing location of download files not working via settings

I have a load of iCloud photos that I wish to send to a second storage drive I have on my Dell Optiplex 7040.So, I have C: drive and a SDD labeled D:. In settings > where new content is saved - I have only new apps go to C:, everything else goes to D: However when I click DL from iCloud, it goes to C:\download....Is there a way to download files to D: directly?thanks!

How to change location of MSI????.tmp file

Hi,

You may change the location of the .tmp file by following the steps provided below:

• Go to This PC.
• Right-click This PC, and then select Advanced System Setting.
• Click Environment Variables.
• Under system variable, double-click tmp and change the path for the file of your reference.

It is possible that the
GPS chipset
is not working properly causing your location settings to be
disabled or cannot be turned on. Kindly run the
Hardware and Device Troubleshooter
