Windows 10: Changing Office from 32 bit to 64 bit

Discus and support Changing Office from 32 bit to 64 bit in Microsoft Office and 365 to solve the problem; Does the 64 bit version offer much practical advantage over the 32 bit version which is installed by default?     It is most likely better to use 32 bit. Depends though - see the link @Bree posted (#9 in this thread).

    There are many reasons to use 32 bit over 64 bit. 64 bit is only required if you make really huge files but then you lose all the 32 bit advantages - compatibility mainly.

    I'd seen the advice from Microsoft before, so looked it up for the OP. Actually the advice had changed emphasis since Office 2013, where 32-bit was recommended for most users.
