Windows 10: Changing os location

Hello. My PC has one SATA hdd and two NVMe ssd's, My os win 11 is currently downloaded and running on the hdd, but i would like to change it to one of the ssd's for faster boot etc. I still have the usb stick i downloaded windows with for the first time, but that was win 10 and i would like to keep win 11 Now completely resetting my pc is not a problem since i dont have anything important stored on any of the storage devices, and everything is saved either in the cloud or on the internet. How is the safest and easiest way to change my boot drive and to change the download location for win

  Win key + R key combo.

  Type winver into the run command text box and hit
  OK.

I suggest you to ON the location service and check if the location is changed to your current location. If the location service is ON, the Windows will automatically find your location once the system in connected to internet and update
the location on the Apps, which has the permission to access to the location. Refer to the below link to ON the location service and more.

You may also change your Country or region manually by the following steps;

• 
  In the search box on task bar, enter Change region, then select
  Change your country or region.
  
• 
  Under Country or region, select your new region.

Change location

Hi,

Changing the location of your Windows 10 device is possible. Follow these steps to change the location information on Windows 10:

• Go to Control Panel.
• Click on Clock, Language, and Region and then select Region.
• Click on Location tab.
• Under the Home location, click the drop-down button and then choose your location.
• Click on Apply button and then click OK.

Note: Changing the location in Windows 10 is limited to changing which country or region you are in.

Location service is greyed out

Sorry for the inconvenience caused for you, I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check If it helps.

Step 1: Steps to turn on the Location settings.

• Login as an administrator.
• Press Windows key, type Location settings and select
  Change location settings.
• Check whether Location for this device is On by clicking on
  Change.
• Also turn on Location as well.

Step 2: And as you are unable to set the service Geolocation service to automatic, I suggest you to run SFC scan and check.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
  
• 
  After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.
