  1. Changing the icons of Windows applications is safe?

Hi. I'm using Windows 11, and I'm doing an extensive personalization of it so I can make it unique and aesthetically pleasing to me. After some work, I decided to theme it like if was Windows 10, because the two OSes aesthetics fit very well. My first step is to change the icons of the native Windows applications File explorer, calculator... etc. The thing will be to navigate to the place where the .exe files are, download the Windows 10 icons, and change them. However, I'm scared that changing something will provoque crashes and/or system malfunction. If you can help me, thanks! Goodbye.

    :)

    GPU-Z Program Icon Submission

Suggestion to have an option to change Notification Area icon this way too.
Suggestion to finally have proper separate Options window like most (all?) Windows programs do.

Is changing the icon of an application safe?

    Hi,

So recently I have been thinking about changing the default icon of the Minecraft Launcher application, but I'm not really sure if it can brick my computer or anything, should I do it and is it safe? (I'm on Windows 10 just to be sure.)
