    Changing Windows 11 notification sounds back to Windows 10 sounds?


    I recently got a new work laptop with Windows 11 installed, which completely changes the notification sounds for the entire system. I don't really like the new sounds, as they're too soft and don't always get my attention. Is there a way to change the notification sounds back to what they were in Windows 10?

    How to change Windows starting sound in Win7?

    Right click on your desktop then from the list choose Personalise and this window should open.

    If you look at the bottom of my pic you should see the windows sounds option, I have put a red circle round this in the pic.

    Click on sounds and another box will load and here you should have the option to change the startup sound.

    You can choose you own sound by using the browse button.

    You can also use the dropdown list to set a windows sound and this should not effect any other sounds as far as i remember.

    Step 1: Click the lower-left Start button, input sound and select Sound from the results to open Sound settings

    Step 2: In the Sound dialog, open Sounds and choose Notification in the program events.

    Step 3: Tap the Sounds bar, select (None) in the list and click OK.

    Changing Windows 11 notification sounds back to Windows 10 sounds?

    Notifications have no sound

    This isn't third-party software, I just got the .wav file and it went like this.

    1. I searched for "change system sounds"
    2. I changed all these sounds into the corresponding Windows 11 sounds
    3. I clicked apply.
    Only some applications can have sound, but notifications from my browser, Mail and Calendar have no sound at all.
