Windows 10: Character map

How can I find the character map on Microsoft 10? I used to get it when I entered it in "Type to search" box

I would love to have a CHARACTER MAP pinned to my windowa 10 taskbar. If anybody knows a way to do this please list every step so that any neophyte can understand the process.

 

Keyboard character key mapping

In summary, what I need to do is to map:

• key e0-34 to the "$" character (Shift-4)
• and key e0-33 to the "€" character (Alt-0128)

Voila.

How do I use or find Help for using Character Map?

My question on Character Map has not been answered. I have followed every suggestion and I still cannot get the character to insert into the word. I click Select and Copy; I put the curser into the word, but the character will not insert. There must be
a step between Copy and to insert that is missing for me.
