I just bought a new laptop and moved everything from my old laptop to my new laptop. Seemed to have worked fine. Except for one program.

MS money. Yes, I know. This is an old program which is not supported anymore. But I'm still using it for my personal accounting. I use the French version.

The problem : all characters with accents like é, à , Ô etc. don't display correctly. characters with accents don't display correctly. 4434a307-c48e-4950-9e22-13af62e38b18?upload=true.jpg

It worked fine on my old laptop. Both laptops are running Windows 10, English setup. I guess it must have something to do with a character set or something. When I did the move from one laptop to the other with the program PCmover, I got the message that some things were NOT moved. Like Microsoft C++ 2015 runtime, Microsoft visual C++2005 redistributale etc. Might this be the problem? And how to fix it?

I already tried to deinstall and reinstall the program with the original CD's, but the problem remains.

    Thank you

    :)

  2. Microsoft Edge incorrectly displaying accents

I am experiencing a problem when I browse French web sites with Microsoft Edge incorrectly displaying characters with accents.

When I type a URL (e.g. https://www.leboncoin.fr/electromenager/offres/aquitaine/?th=1&parrot=0) Microsoft edge displays the accent over the e with no problem. If I then select one of the advertisements and view it everything still appears correctly.
However, when I then use the browser return arrow to go back to the list, all the accents (circumflex, acute and agrave) have all been replaced by the Unicode
REPLACEMENT CHARACTER U+FFFD (black diamond containing a white question mark)

This problem does not appear in Internet Explorer 11 - I can freely browse the sites without any characters being incorrectly displayed. I've tried switching language settings and keyboard - but the problem persists.

This does not work. I have NO add-ons and accented characters are not displayed correctly; opening the page with IE does work
