Windows 10: Charge in Sleep and Hibernation Modes

Discus and support Charge in Sleep and Hibernation Modes in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; Can someone confirm if, when my laptop lid is shut but mains charger plugged in, battery charging still continues - either when in sleep or hibernation...     Charge in Sleep and Hibernation Modes


    Can someone confirm if, when my laptop lid is shut but mains charger plugged in, battery charging still continues - either when in sleep or hibernation mode? (My settings are currently set to "sleep" when lid is closed.)


    Second, what is the difference between sleep and hibernation modes anyway?

    Hibernate mode Vs Sleep Vs Hybrid sleep.

    I normally just use sleep mode, though when I'm at my parent's house, I will use hibernate just because it doesn't matter if we have a blackout

    sleep or hibernate

    I think you have sleep and hibernate confused... sleep just puts the computer in a low power state, making resuming the session faster... hibernate shuts down the whole computer and basically just saves whats in RAM to the hdd and loads it on next startup. IIRC...

    Hibernate mode Vs Sleep Vs Hybrid sleep.

    From now on i will use the Hybrid sleep mode and let's hope it works as it should.
