How to Check if Windows 10 is Activated


Information Activation helps verify that Windows on your PC is genuine.

If you clean install of the free Windows 10 on the same PC anytime you like if it is currently activated.

Starting with Activation troubleshooter if you make a hardware change later, such as replacing the motherboard.

This tutorial will show you how to check if Windows 10 is currently activated or not activated on your PC.

Windows 10

Hi,

The free copy of Windows 10 is automatically activated soon after successfully upgrading to Windows 10, and you will not be asked to enter a product key.

To Check Windows 10 activation status

Step 1: On Windows 10, click the Start button and then click or tap
Settings app icon on the left-side of the Start menu to open the same.





Step 2: Once the Settings app is launched, click or tap the last category titled
Update and security (Windows Update, recovery, backup).





Step 3: On the left-pane, click Activation.

Step 3: Now, on the right-side, you can see your edition of Windows 10 and the activation status of your Windows 10.





If your Windows 10 is activated, Windows is activated will appear right next to Activation.

Windows 10 Activation after Pro update

Check at Settings>Update and Security>Activation if activated.

Check at Settings>System>About that you actually have Pro version.

Both mean the same activation, but with the subtle differences below.

The local account status message is saying it's activated with a digital license.

The Microsoft account status message is saying it's activated with the same digital license, but is linked with this Microsoft account.
