    Check Data Usage

I just received several texts from my ISP stating that I have gone over my data limit. I have an Eero router so I was able to use the app to check data usage. I saw that my home PC has downloaded almost 2TB and uploaded around 50GB in the last 12 hours and was still going. I was able to block data on the device to prevent it using more data but would like to know what was using it. Is it possible to see what app or service is using data?

    :)

  3. Data usage not tallying with the actual usage of data when checked on Windows 10.

    Hello,

I understand your concern in this regard.

There are some reasons where total usage differ with the app data
usage. Suggest you to check this issue by resetting the existing data usage to zero. You can do this by toggling
off the Metered connection, then restart your PC. This action will reset the consumed data to zero.

    Ensure to toggle on the
Metered connection once you restart your PC.

Keep us posted if you require further assistance.

    Internet data usage

    Hi Weon,

It is possible that some of your apps are causing this issue. Some apps are automatically set to do automatic updates. Just to be sure, we recommend that you check the
Task Manager for apps that might be consuming your data when you are using your computer. To do so, kindly do the following steps:

    • Type task manager on the search bar.
    • Click on Task Manager.
    • Click on App history.

Check each app's network activity and network usage for tile updates. If there are apps that are consuming your data even though you're not using them, kindly check and change their update settings. Also, what are the steps that you took to disable the Windows
    Update?

We look forward to your response.
