Windows 10: Check Signal cable

I am using a Lenovo PC desktop and a Samsung monitor. It happened for one week already, after I switched on the PC, before login, just blank screen and when I pressed some monitor buttons the message "Check Signal cable" appeared. After I moved the connector PC side from the horizontal port to the vertical port. Things restored to normal! The next night when I switched on the computer, same thing happened! I then moved the connector back to the horizontal one and things restored to normal again. Tonight, same thing happened and I moved the connector back to the vertical one, it wo

However, my monitor, the graphics card, and the system unit work well. There no hardware problems. The “No Signal” message appears only when the computer is powered off. The monitor works when the computer is running. Previously, there was no “No Signal” message when the computer was not running.

Thank you for the information. For some reason, the message “No Signal” started appearing after I had begun using another VGA cable. It had not been appearing while I used the older cable. I thought that the appearing of the message is not normal. Perhaps I will have to ask the LG Flatron monitor support about how to prevent the message from appearing.
