    Because of copy protection, Chessmaster 3000 does not install, nor are you able to play Chessmaster 3000 on Windows 10.

    Chessmaster 10 installation on MS surface with windows 10

    According to a reply by MS technician found on a post I biffed in setup.exe and Chessmaster 10th edition files the compatibility with previous Windows OS as suggested, but during installation it stops giving Fatale error 1603. Any other suggestion?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Chessmaster 10th Edition vs Windows 10

    I have just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. My Chessmaster 10th edition ran in 8.1, but will not load in Win 10. Message is "Access Denied. Please login with administrator privileges and try again." Uninstall/Install does not correct problem. Changing
    Win 10 administor command to "yes" does not correct problem. Windows information says Chessmaster 10th edition is "compatible" with Win 10. Solutions?
