Windows 10: Child account got associated with local admin user and cannot be removed now

I have a local user login in Windows 11 No email associated with the account, although I have signed into Store with a Live email as an adult *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.I was trying to manage my child's minecraft account and so signed into it on the Windows 11 Xbox app *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. It then logged me out of my browser saying I didn't have permission to use the browser and now when I go to the Settings->Accounts->Emails&Accounts, it shows 2 emails. *** Email address is removed for privacy *** which can NOT be removed and *** Email address is removed for privacy *** the adult email, which CAN be removed.It won't let me remove this stupid

Verifying didn't enable any further options.

Its not that I want to make the account local.. believe it is. Its more that my child's Microsoft account has got itself associated with the local windows account and now all the child safe settings are being applied.. for example I just had to grant myself access to chrome for three hours...

I have two admin accounts on the machine, the local one which now has my child's account associated with it and another one I setup using my Microsoft login to get round the issues. I don't have to have to move over to the "Peter" account but want to remove the association of my child's account with the local account "PRM"

I use a local account in windows 11 which has administer privileges.

After I had logged my child into the xbox app their email address has been associated with the local account and now all the child safe settings have been applied to the local admin account and I can't find a way to un-associate the child's account?





Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I'm trying to see if there's a way to change a local account (standard user) to a child account so it can be managed in the Microsoft Family?

I tried to follow the steps here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...1-c8f8cca1d52f

but there's no option for "family and other users".

They do not have Microsoft accounts. Do I need to basically create a new child account at Windows setup?

Any assistance appreciated.
