Hi, How are you? I am Alan, Microsoft Expert, an Independent Advisor. I will be happy to assist you today. I appreciate your contact!

Check your sharing settings in OneDrive. Access OneDrive through your browser (onedrive.com), log into your account, and go to the "Sharing" section to see if there are any folders or files shared with your children's accounts. If there are, remove those shares. You can also check the OneDrive setup on your children's laptops. Ask them to log out of their OneDrive accounts. To do this, they must right-click the OneDrive icon in the system tray, select "Settings", go to the "Account" tab and click "Unlink this PC". This will ensure that their OneDrive is completely separate from yours.

If you use the shared folder configuration in Windows, also check the permissions of these folders. Right-click the folder you want to check, select "Properties", go to the "Sharing" tab and click "Advanced Sharing". Make sure only your accounts (or your husband's accounts) have access to these folders.

Additionally, if your child's account is set up as an administrator account, consider changing the account type to standard. This may limit his access to certain files and settings. To do this, go to Settings > Accounts > Family and other users, select your child's account and click "Change account type". Then switch to "Standard User".

Finally, if the problem persists, you can set up parental controls in Windows to monitor and limit your children's access to certain files and applications. Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users, select your child's account and set appropriate restrictions.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.

    Best,

    Alan

  4. Childs laptop allowing access to my onedrive files

Child account no internet access: ******** File not Found!******** err

After the Windows 10 upgrade, my account has no problem accessing the internet. My child's account on the same computer, however cannot access the internet in IE or Chrome (which is what she uses). I tried everything I could think of, and finally resorted to creating her a new (adult) account on the PC which she is using for the past few weeks. I would like to limit her screen time, but still allow her internet access. I have no idea why my user would have access, but not hers. When attempting to access any page, we just receive a *********** File not found! ********* message.

I am really hating Windows 10 because of this major inconvenience.
    Any suggestions?
